Sausage Cornburgers

 
 

 

 
 

1/2 cup yellow corn meal
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cup boiling water
flour
4 tablespoons fat
1 lb sausage meat
raisins if desired (3 tablespoon chopped)

add corn meal, salt to boiling water,

stirring constantly cook until thick

add raisins

Pour into greased mold 2 1/2" diameter

chill

cut in 1/2" slices

brown in fat

shape sausage meat into 3 in patties

dredge in flour

fry until done

arrange corn meal 8 sausage patties sandwich style on platter

serves 4.
